NLK is a practical fashion school dedicated to bringing the creativity in our apprentices. We offer apprenticeship opportunities for anyone with at least WASSCE certificate for a period of 3 months, 6 months or 12 months, and 3 years depending on the programme.

We offer opportunities for students/recent graduates in the form of internships which usually last between three and 12 months, depending on the programme.

General internships

We offer a limited number of internships to students and recent graduates who wish to acquire an understanding of the fashion industry or gain experience in their field of studies. Internships normally last between three and twelve months and interns will be based at our premises in Adenta.

•  An overview of NLK’s objectives and the challenges arising in achieving them
•  A professional and personal experience in a dynamic fashion house through contacts established in the course of your everyday work
•  Practical knowledge in your chosen field

Eligibility to apply

The General Internship Programme is open to students or recent graduates with less than one year of relevant experience (since the last degree).

You must be at least SHS graduate and be in a fashion industry-related course at an institute of higher education.

As a social enterprise, we pride ourself in empowering people and we are looking for a high energy, self-motivated individual to join our team.

The new team member will responsible for:

• Producing Concepts
• Making Sketches by hand or on the computer
Developing Patterns
Overseeing Production
Analyzing trends in fabrics, colors and shapes. 

They must be creative, have technical skills in areas such as cutting, grading and garment construction, must enjoy following trends in fashion and clothing and be able to visualize things in three dimensions.

Designers will normally work from 9am to 5pm but may work longer hours when preparing samples for buyers or collections for fashion shows.

When required, they may attend fashion shows, exhibitions, visit clients and travel locally or abroad.

Please note that no foreign items are shall be brought to the workplace without adequate permission.
